GTA 6 Price by Country: Standard and Ultimate Worldwide

GTA 6 Standard and Ultimate prices on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store in 10 countries, read from each store page on Oct 12 2026.

Every price on this page was read on the store's own page, checked Oct 12 2026. Launch is Nov 19 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Prices can change before then, so check the store before you pay.

Here is the question this page answers: what does GTA 6 cost in your country, on each of the two consoles, from the official stores? We loaded the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store in ten countries and wrote down what each one charges for the Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition. No retailer prices, no conversions, no guesses.

The headline: in nine of the ten countries, PlayStation and Xbox charge exactly the same. The one exception is Mexico, and the gap there is almost certainly about how tax is shown, not what you pay. More on that below.

For what each edition contains, see our editions page. For the US price history against GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, see GTA VI price and deals. Pre-order bonuses are covered on the pre-order bonuses page.

The price table

This is our table, built from 20 store pages. Prices are in local currency, written with a decimal point for every store. PS is the PlayStation Store, Xbox is the Xbox Store.

All cells checked Oct 12 2026. Every cell has a price; none was "not checked". Germany and France are the two euro-zone stores we opened. We did not open other euro countries, so we do not claim the same price for them, though the two we checked match each other to the cent.

Rockstar Store: the page served to us was the US store, in US dollars. It sells only the physical Standard Edition, $79.99, for PS5 or Xbox Series X, and says the box holds a download code, not a disc. For the other nine countries, Rockstar Store prices are not checked. We only saw the US page and print no local Rockstar Store price.

The Mexico gap, worked out

Mexico is the only country where the two stores print different numbers. PlayStation shows 1,292.24 MXN for Standard. Xbox shows 1,499 MXN. Those odd cents caught our eye, so we did the sums.

StepStandardUltimate
PlayStation Store price1,292.241,619.83
Multiply by 1.161,292.24 x 1.16 = 1,499.001,619.83 x 1.16 = 1,879.00
Xbox Store price1,4991,879

Both editions line up exactly at a factor of 1.16, to the peso. A 16 percent difference that matches on both editions points to tax being shown one way on one store and the other way on the other. The PlayStation page does not say so in the text we read, so treat that as our reading of the arithmetic, not a store statement. What it does suggest is that a Mexican player is unlikely to pay less on PlayStation once tax is added at checkout. Check the final total in your basket.

How much more Ultimate costs, country by country

The Ultimate Edition is the Standard game plus the Ultimate Edition Upgrade (Rockstar Support, via FACTS.md F13). So the useful number is the gap. This table is our subtraction, plus the Xbox Upgrade price we read on each store.

Mexico (Xbox prices)380 MXN25.4%380 MXNYes

Percentages are rounded to one decimal place. Mexico uses the Xbox figures; the PlayStation gap is 327.59 MXN, the same 25.4 percent.

Two things stand out:

  • On Xbox, starting with Standard costs nothing extra. In every country where the Xbox Store listed the Upgrade, Standard plus Upgrade equals Ultimate to the cent. So you can buy Standard, play, and decide later. This matches the US finding on our editions page, now confirmed in eight more countries.
  • The UK pays the steepest step up, Brazil the gentlest. Ultimate costs 28.6 percent more than Standard in the UK and 22.2 percent more in Brazil. Most countries sit right around 25 percent.

On PlayStation, the same sum cannot be checked yet. The Ultimate Edition Upgrade has its own listing in all ten PlayStation regions, but every one showed it as unavailable, with no price. The US PlayStation game page said "Unavailable" too. No store explains why.

Before you buy from another country's store

Prices differ, so it is tempting to shop abroad. Two rules from Rockstar Support (FACTS.md F22) matter here. PlayStation codes only work on accounts in the region where they were bought. Xbox codes are not region-locked. Japanese product codes expire 170 days after Nov 19 2026. The full country list, and what it means for gifts, is on our region locks and codes page.

Also note that a cheaper number in one currency is not a cheaper price for you. We do not convert currencies here, because rates move daily and the stores do not.

What is not confirmed

  • A launch or holiday discount. No store showed one on Oct 12 2026. FACTS.md lists "any launch discount" as unconfirmed.
  • The PlayStation Upgrade price. Listed but unavailable in all ten regions.
  • Rockstar Store prices outside the US. Not checked.
  • Any price in a country not in the table. We print only what we read.
  • PC pricing. No PC version is announced; see the PC release tracker.

Trivia

  • The PlayStation prices for the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany and Japan are unchanged from the readings on our price and deals page, taken one day earlier, on Oct 11 2026.
  • Australia and Japan use different PlayStation product codes from the other eight storefronts we checked. Japan's listing carries a JP0230 code and Australia's a PPSA38500 code, while the rest share PPSA01547.
  • The PlayStation Store prints the Upgrade's status in the local language: "Non disponible" in France, "No disponible" in Mexico, and the local word for "unavailable" in Germany, Brazil and Japan.

Sources and method

On Oct 12 2026 we loaded the GTA VI listing on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store for each of the ten countries, using an honest research user agent, and read the price fields in each page: PlayStation's base and discounted price for the Standard and Ultimate product codes, and Xbox's list price, MSRP and currency for each edition. We loaded the Rockstar Store page the same day. Where a sum or percentage appears, it is our own arithmetic from those figures. No third-party price site, retailer or search summary was used.
