Terms of use

What you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

These terms cover your use of GTA VI Forum (gtaviforum.com), which is published by Parlae Media ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you register an account, you also agree to the community guidelines, which are part of these terms. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.

What the site is

GTA VI Forum is a free fan site with news briefs, reference articles about the Grand Theft Auto series, and a forum. It is paid for by ads. We take no payments from members.

Who can use it

Anyone can read the site. To register or post you must be at least 13. If you are 13 to 17, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to register. Children under 13 may not register. One account per person; do not share your account or register again after a ban.

You are responsible for what happens on your account. Keep the email account you sign in with secure, and tell us at support@parlae.io if you think someone else has used your account.

Your posts and the licence you give us

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give Parlae Media a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, format and display your post on the site and in anything that shows the site's pages, such as search results, feeds and shared links, for as long as it is on the site. The licence lets us run the forum; it does not let us sell your post or use it in advertising. It ends when your post is removed, except for copies we keep in backups and moderation records for a limited time.

You promise that you have the right to post what you post, and that it does not break the law or these terms. Do not post anything you do not own or have permission to share, beyond short quotes for discussion.

What you may not post

The community guidelines list exactly what we remove. In short, do not post:

  • Leaked builds, footage, files or assets of any game, or links to them.
  • Pirated games, ROMs, ISOs, cracks or links to them.
  • GTA Online mod menus, cheats, money drops or recovery services for sale, or account selling.
  • Sexual content, or instructions for using or making illegal drugs.
  • Hate speech, harassment, threats or anyone's private personal information.
  • Spam, scams, malware, or self-promotion outside the places the guidelines allow it.
  • Anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy.

Moderation

We may review, hold, edit, move, lock or remove any post or thread, and we may do it without notice. At launch, a moderator reads every member post before it appears on the site, so a new post is held until it is approved. We may change how much is pre-moderated, and the community guidelines will say when we do. An automatic filter also holds posts that look like they break the rules, and three reports from members hide a post until a moderator reviews it.

We may edit a post only to remove a rule-breaking part, such as a link, personal information or an unmarked spoiler. We do not edit posts to change what you said. We are not obliged to publish any post, and approval does not mean we agree with it.

Copyright and the DMCA

We respect copyright and respond to valid notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, follow the steps on the DMCA page. We remove material that is the subject of a valid notice, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Ending your account

You can close your account at any time by emailing support@parlae.io from the address on the account. We may suspend or ban an account, for a period or for good, if it breaks these terms or the community guidelines, if it is used to evade an earlier ban, or if we need to in order to protect members or the site. We usually say why. You can appeal as the guidelines describe. The licence and disclaimer sections survive after an account ends, for posts that stay up.

Our content

The news briefs, archive articles and site design are ours. You may read them, link to them and quote short parts with credit and a link. You may not copy articles wholesale or republish them as your own.

Do not scrape the site at a volume that slows it down, try to break into it, overload it, or get around the spam checks, bans or moderation.

Fan site and trademarks

Fan site. Not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Grand Theft Auto and related marks are trademarks of Take-Two Interactive.

Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have not reviewed or approved this site. Game names, logos and images belong to their owners and are used here only to identify and discuss the games.

Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". News about unreleased games changes fast. We label how solid each report is and correct mistakes, but we cannot promise that everything on the site is complete, current or correct, including release dates, prices and features. Member posts are the opinions of their authors, not ours. Links to other sites are not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for what those sites do.

We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time, and we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Parlae Media is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, or for anything another member posts. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us, which for a free site is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be waived.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms, we change this page and its date. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site before it applies. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

Questions about these terms go to Parlae Media at support@parlae.io, or through the contact form.
