Built-in, single-player cheats only: no mod menus, trainers, glitches or exploits.

GTA V cheats: what to know first
Per Rockstar Support, saving is allowed with cheats on, but achievements are temporarily disabled. Entering a code twice "will usually, but not always," turn it off. Some cheats are blocked at certain moments ("Cheat Denied"). Starting a mission switches off off-mission cheats, and reloading a save or rebooting resets everything. PC Gamer adds that cheats cap mission medals at Bronze, so keep a separate save.
Ways in: enter the buttons during normal play; on PC, press tilde (~) to open the console and type the code; or, on any platform, open the phone (Up on the d-pad) and dial. There is no money cheat in GTA V, per both guides.

PC Gamer's unlocks: Duke O'Death from the "Duel" random event, Dodo from the Sea Plane event, Kraken from the Wildlife Photography Challenge.
Where the guides disagree, and what we did
- Sanchez and PCJ-600 are swapped on GamesRadar+. PC Gamer and Prima put OFFROAD and "Circle, X, L1..." on the Sanchez, which fits a dirt bike. We follow them.
- Recharge, Xbox. PC Gamer adds a stray X at the start; GamesRadar+ and Prima agree on "A, A, X...".
- Rapid GT. Two guides start "R2, R2, L1"; Prima's 2013 list starts "R2, L1". We print the two-guide version.
- Director Mode is on GamesRadar+ only, not PC Gamer. Kept as a single-source row, attributed to GamesRadar+.
- Skyfall buttons are on GamesRadar+ only; the PC code and number are on both.
- Black Cellphone (1-999-367-3767) is on one list only, so it is left out.
- Two numbers do not spell their words. On a keypad CATCHME is 2282463 and LIQUOR is 547867, but both guides print 2288463 and 547861. We list what the guides say works.
Codes Rockstar reused
Some GTA V PlayStation codes match PS2-era ones button for button. We checked each pair against the guides above.

If your thumbs remember the Vice City tank code, they already know how to call a Buzzard.
Classic cheats: GTA III
PC phrases are on both GamesRadar+ and PC Gamer; PlayStation sequences are from GamesRadar+. Per GamesRadar+, the Definitive Edition swaps the Xbox triggers, cuts a few codes, and newer versions may disable trophies. Save first: some cheats cannot be turned off.

GTA IV: the phone era begins
GTA IV moved cheats onto Niko's phone. DOC-555-0100 (362-555-0100) restores health and armor and repairs your car; COP-555-0100 (267-555-0100) clears your wanted level. GamesRadar+ warns some disable achievements.
GTA Online: no cheats, full stop
None of these codes work in GTA Online, which PC Gamer calls "a cheat code free zone." Rockstar's Community Guidelines treat online cheating, including "exploits, hacks, or other third-party software," as grounds for losing player privileges. We do not list online cheats, money drops or mod menus.
GTA 6 cheats
As of Oct 12 2026, no GTA 6 cheat code has been verified. The game is out Nov 19 2026, so any "GTA 6 cheats list" online now is invented. GTABoom's own placeholder page showed "0 verified" (FACTS.md R11).
GTA VI launches as "a single player experience" (FACTS.md F47), and every main game from GTA III to GTA V had built-in cheats. That is history, not a promise: Rockstar has said nothing about GTA VI cheats.
At launch we will test codes and update this page, marked with platform and time, or say plainly that there are none. Until then, skip any "GTA 6 cheat" download; there is nothing real to download. More unconfirmed claims: GTA VI confirmed vs rumor. Where you will cause the chaos: the GTA 6 map.
Sources and method
We found no Rockstar-published GTA V code list, so codes come from GamesRadar+ and PC Gamer, cross-checked row by row, with Prima's 2013 list as a third check. Classic PlayStation codes for GTA III and Vice City rest on GamesRadar+ alone. Nothing was tested in-game for this page.
