GTA VI comes out on Thursday, November 19 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This thread is for everything about release week. Here is what Rockstar, Take-Two and the store listings have actually confirmed, in date order.
Before launch
- Pre-orders opened at midnight local time on June 25 2026.
- November 12: pre-load opens at local midnight, per Rockstar Support. The PlayStation Store lists it as a 7-day pre-load. Rockstar has not given a per-platform hour.
- November 12: the boxed copy starts shipping. It holds a download code, not a disc, so physical buyers can pre-load too. There is no physical Ultimate Edition.
- November 19: the GTA+ pre-order offer ends on PlayStation (buy by 23:59:59). The free month must be redeemed by March 31 2027, and it auto-renews unless you cancel. Xbox says to redeem within 180 days of the pre-order.
Launch
- The PlayStation Store lists the release as 11/19/2026 12:00 AM EST. That is the only exact launch time any store has published. It is not a promise that every region unlocks then.
- The Vintage Vice City Pack goes to every pre-order or purchase made before November 20.
Still unknown: the file size, the exact unlock time on Xbox, and any online mode. Rockstar calls the game "a single player experience." No PC version has been announced.
