Rockstar names six GTA VI radio stations, and on-demand podcasts are a series first

Rockstar Games revealed six Grand Theft Auto VI radio stations on Oct 8 2026, in a Rockstar Newswire post about the game's music. Rockstar calls it the biggest radio selection in the series.

The stations, with their hosts as Rockstar names them:

• Cocoteo FM, hosted by El Martillo and La Gata
• Back Country Radio, hosted by MW and Delta Dawne
• AfroBank FM, hosted by Burna and Palmsy
• The Chamber 106.6, hosted by DJ Kerry and DJ Tom
• Flash FM, hosted by Robyn and Alex
• Dirty South Classics, hosted by Trick and Trina

Back Country Radio also has a reporter, Mud Dog Mike, who files from an airboat in the Grassrivers wetlands. Flash FM is a name longtime players know from 2002's Vice City.

The bigger change is how you listen. For the first time in the series, the game has on-demand podcasts. Rockstar says radio and podcasts can be heard in vehicles and on foot, through in-game headphones and earbuds connected to the characters' smartphones. In past games the radio mostly lived in the car.

The same post points to Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, 34 original tracks out Nov 19, the game's launch day, with vinyl and CD pre-orders open. Rockstar announced the album on Sep 17 2026.

Why it matters. Radio is how a GTA city sounds, and station and song searches climb at every launch. Portable listening also means players will hear far more of the soundtrack outside a car than before.

What is still unknown. Rockstar has not published tracklists for the stations, and it has not said how many stations the finished game has in total. Several outlets have linked the hosts to real artists. Rockstar names only the on-air personas, so we print only those until the game's credits say more. GTA VI launches Nov 19 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
