GTA VI on PC is planned for Q1 2027, GamesBeat reports

GamesBeat cites four unnamed industry sources for a PC release in the first three months of 2027. Rockstar has not announced a PC version.

GamesBeat reports that Rockstar Games plans to release the PC version of GTA VI in the first three months of 2027. The outlet says four industry sources familiar with the studio's plans told it so, and that the sources asked not to be named. A Rockstar representative did not respond to GamesBeat's request for comment before publication. VGC, Eurogamer, IGN, GamesRadar+ and Insider Gaming have since picked up the report.

The console version is still set for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. If the report is right, PC players would wait only a few months after that launch.

Why it matters. Rockstar has so far listed GTA VI for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, and Take-Two has not named a PC version. A Q1 2027 window would be a much shorter wait than last time: GTA V reached PC in April 2015, about one year and seven months after its September 2013 console release. GamesBeat also points to PC roleplay, noting that Rockstar bought Cfx.re, the team behind the FiveM roleplay framework for GTA V on PC, in August 2023.

What is still unknown. Rockstar has not announced a PC version, a PC date or PC system requirements, and this report is not confirmed. There is also no word on whether a PC release would line up with an online mode for GTA VI, which Rockstar has not announced either. Until Rockstar or Take-Two says otherwise, the only platforms on the record are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two's next earnings report is the most likely place for any change to show up.
