Rockstar releases the GTA VI Launch Trailer ahead of the Nov 19 release

Rockstar Games released the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer on Oct 15 2026. Its GTA VI site now features the video as "Launch Trailer" at the top of its video list, above An Extended Look, Trailer 2 and Trailer 1, and its Newswire carries a post titled "Watch the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer".

VGC reports that the trailer runs 90 seconds and walks through the setup of the story: Jason and Lucia take on an easy score that goes wrong and pulls them into a criminal conspiracy across the state of Leonida. Per the trailer description quoted by VGC and Insider Gaming, the music is new work from the French electronic duo Justice, who composed the game's original score, and the footage was captured in-game on a PlayStation 5. The same description names a new Justice single, "Flower in a Hurricane", featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, which is on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.

Rockstar did not call it Trailer 3. The release date on the GTA VI site is unchanged: Nov 19 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Why it matters. This is the first new GTA VI video since An Extended Look, and the name signals that marketing has moved into the launch phase, with pre-orders still open on the GTA VI site.

What is still unknown. Rockstar's page does not say whether the capture was on a base PS5 or a PS5 Pro. There is still no PC version, no online mode and no official file size.
