CONFIRMED
Take-Two restates Nov 19 for GTA VI and holds its $8.0 to $8.2 billion bookings outlook
Take-Two's Aug 7 results list GTA VI for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on Nov 19 2026 and reiterate a fiscal 2027 net bookings outlook of $8.0 to $8.2 billion.
Take-Two Interactive's first-quarter results for fiscal 2027, released Aug 7 2026 and filed with the SEC, put Grand Theft Auto VI's date in writing again: Nov 19 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The release's lineup table lists the game under Rockstar Games with those two platforms and that date. In his statement, CEO Strauss Zelnick pointed to "excitement around the November 19th launch of Grand Theft Auto VI," and in the same statement Take-Two reiterated its fiscal 2027 net bookings outlook of $8.0 to $8.2 billion. Net bookings is the sales measure Take-Two gives its forecasts in. Its fiscal 2027 runs to Mar 31 2027, so the launch falls inside that year.
One precise point: the outlook section of the release does not name GTA VI. The link between the forecast and the launch is in Zelnick's statement, not in the outlook's stated assumptions.
Why it matters. This is the second time since May that Take-Two has put the date on the record. On its May 21 2026 earnings call, Zelnick reaffirmed Nov 19 after a rumor of a slip to 2027. The date has now held since Rockstar's second delay, announced Nov 6 2025, which moved the game from May 26 2026 to Nov 19 2026.
The release also shows GTA V's GTA Online is still being updated. It lists the Kortz Center Heist Summer Update from Jul 14 2026.
What is still unknown. The lineup table names consoles only. No PC version of GTA VI has been announced by Rockstar or Take-Two. Neither company has announced a GTA VI online mode; Rockstar calls the game "a single player experience." Analyst sales forecasts are predictions, not company numbers, and the first company figures will come with Take-Two's results after launch.
